Prittee is an unofficial, experimental alternate front end for Pithee, the site Jacksfilms recent launched. I made Prittee because I noticed some small UI/UX issues I thought could be fixed to improve the user experience of the site (most notably, the time it takes to load more posts after voting for one).
Prittee is by no means perfect, and as of the time of writing has a LOT of work left to make it actually good, however it’s okay enough that I thought I can show it around a bit.
Due to the fact that there is no authentication system on Prittee, it can only work by manually copying your Pithee API Key and Authorization Token from the site. Since the Authorization tokens on Pithee have a lifespan of one hour,. it means you can only be logged in to Prittee for one hour at a time, at which point you will have to get a new Authorization Token from Pithee to keep using Prittee.
To get an API Key and token, we need to open the developer tools on the Pithee site in your browser of choice. I will show examples from Firefox and Chrome.
